A bare-handed, AC 10 dwarf with no escape or healing items of any sort, over 100 tiles away from my stuff. Hundreds of turns later, a monster finally shows up to put me out of my misery, and I transform back into a dwarf. Making matters worse, in my stumbling around I land on a teleport trap, which whisks me to the other side of the map! And the stun doesn't seem to be wearing off. I desperately start mashing the move keys trying to get back to the pile of stuff, figuring either I wander back or the stun will wear off. I instinctively hit a-h to cure myself with my horn. That's when I realize that I'm also stunned, and have just taken a random step. I figure the top priority is to unburden myself, so I drop my entire inventory, planning to pick some essentials back up. That causes me to drop my weapons and armor and become seriously overburdened. I was wandering around when I stepped on a polymorph trap and turned into a raven. Probably the thing I remember most about that game was something that happened around level 15. Is it that rare, or am I just super unlucky? I haven't found one in any of my games so far. I clear the mines down to Minetown with my pet, but fail to get a dwarven mithril-coat. I get a bag of holding, which is nice since the amulet would be super redundant with the shield. Normally I go down into the mines ASAP to try to get armor from the denizens and get to the Minetown altar, but given my track record there I decide to hold off until after Sokoban. On my latest run, I start off pretty lucky, quickly getting a nice shield of reflection and poison resistance.
